WARRANTY COVERAGE

All warranties issued by Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. are recorded and administered based on the corresponding project or order reference number.

Where applicable, warranties are granted strictly to the original contracting customer or property owner at the time of completion and shall not be assigned, transferred, novated, or extended to any subsequent owner, tenant, management entity, or third party without prior written consent.

Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. reserves the right to verify warranty eligibility against its internal records prior to assessment, inspection, or commencement of any rectification works.

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. provides a limited workmanship warranty covering defects directly attributable to electrical installation works performed strictly within the agreed contractual scope.

This warranty does not constitute a guarantee of uninterrupted electrical performance or compatibility with existing or future electrical installations.

Electrical systems are subject to external supply conditions, user operational behaviour, appliance compatibility, and building infrastructure limitations beyond the Company’s control.

Where a valid workmanship defect is established, Voltnation shall, at its sole and absolute discretion, repair, adjust, or replace only the affected installation necessary to restore reasonable functional performance.

Warranty obligations apply only to the specific defective portion and shall not extend to the entire electrical system, distribution network, connected appliances, or downstream circuitry.

Warranty services shall only be rendered upon full settlement of all outstanding contract sums, variation works, and associated charges.

Technical findings, test results, or inspection conclusions issued by Voltnation shall be deemed final and binding unless independently proven otherwise by a Licensed Electrical Worker or Professional Engineer appointed and fully paid by the Customer.

2. WARRANTY PERIOD

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing:

Electrical installation works carry a Twelve (12) Months Limited Workmanship Warranty, commencing from the earliest of:

  • Date of practical completion
  • Date of system energisation or testing
  • Date of customer occupation, usage, or handover

Manufacturer warranties for supplied equipment, fittings, protection devices, or electrical accessories shall be governed solely by the respective manufacturers’ terms.

Where access for inspection or rectification is delayed, denied, unsafe, restricted, or materially obstructed, the warranty period shall be deemed automatically suspended or voided for the duration of such circumstances.

Any rectification carried out shall not extend, renew, or restart the original warranty period.

Multiple or repeated service attendances shall not be deemed admission of liability or confirmation of workmanship defect.

Any rectification, repair, or attendance performed by Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. beyond its strict warranty obligations shall be deemed goodwill and shall not constitute admission of liability.

3. WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period.

This warranty shall be deemed null and void where:

  • Electrical installations are modified, extended, relocated, recalibrated, or interfered with by third parties
  • Electrical loading exceeds designed circuit capacity
  • Equipment is misused, improperly operated, or negligently maintained
  • Protective devices including MCBs, RCCBs, isolators, surge devices are altered, bypassed, or replaced
  • Recommended maintenance or operational practices are not followed
  • Failure to follow recommended loading distribution, circuit usage guidance, or electrical safety advice issued by the Company.

Any integration of smart systems, EV chargers, solar systems, automation controls, additional distribution boards, or sub-circuits after completion shall void warranty coverage.

Minor routing deviations, trunking alignment differences, or installation tolerances not affecting safety or performance shall be considered acceptable.

4. Warranty DOES NOT Cover:

The warranty shall not cover defects or damages arising from:

4.1 Third-Party Materials & Equipment
Including but not limited to client-supplied light fittings, appliances, smart systems, automation devices, distribution accessories.

4.2 Existing Site Conditions
Concealed wiring defects, insufficient earthing, unstable substrates, hidden obstructions, moisture ingress, building movement or settlement, supply irregularities from external power sources.

4.3 Electrical Loading & Operational Factors
Circuit overloading, voltage fluctuations, power surges, harmonic distortion, downstream appliance failure, system incompatibility.

4.4 Environmental & External Causes
Water damage, fire, lightning, flooding, pest infestation, vandalism, renovation impact by other trades, Acts of God.

4.5 Wear & Tear
Normal deterioration including discoloration, cosmetic damage, loosening due to vibration, thermal expansion movement, component fatigue.

4.6 Regulatory or Compliance Changes
Any authority requirement, regulatory upgrade, statutory code revision, or safety directive arising after completion.

4.7 Cosmetic Expectations
Alignment tolerances of trunking, conduits, switch plates, distribution boards, or routing differences that do not affect performance or safety.

4.8 Consequential Losses
Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for loss of use, loss of income, business interruption, inconvenience, secondary damages, or temporary power disruption.

4.9 Customer Operational Responsibility
Electrical systems must be used within designed capacity.
Repeated circuit tripping, overheating or equipment malfunction caused by excessive loading or appliance upgrades shall not be deemed workmanship defect.

4.10 Performance expectations, design preferences, lighting brightness levels, or user comfort perception.

5. ACCESS REQUIREMENTS

The Customer shall provide safe and reasonable access for inspection or rectification.

The Company shall not be responsible for any damage arising from opening up concealed works required for inspection.

Where rectification requires dismantling, hacking, removal of ceiling systems, carpentry, finishes, or third-party reinstatement, all associated costs shall be borne by the Customer unless a workmanship defect is conclusively established.

Warranty obligations shall be deemed suspended where access is denied, delayed, unsafe, or materially restricted.

Failure to provide timely access may result in voiding of warranty obligations.

6. SERVICE ATTENDANCE

Post-completion site attendance may be classified as:

-Warranty Rectification
-Chargeable Service Call
-Emergency Attendance

Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. reserves the sole right to determine such classification.

Where the issue is found not to be workmanship-related, reasonable inspection, transport, and service charges shall apply.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd.’s total liability shall be strictly limited to rectification of defective workmanship within the original contract value.

In no event shall the Company’s aggregate liability exceed the amount actually paid by the Customer for the specific defective works.

Under no circumstances shall Voltnation be responsible for:

  • System-wide electrical failure
  • Damage beyond installation scope
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Claims exceeding the contract sumIn no event shall the Company’s aggregate liability exceed the amount actually paid by the Customer for the affected works.

8. RIGHT TO AMEND

Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd. reserves the right to revise these Warranty Terms at any time in line with operational, technical, or regulatory requirements.

9. CONTRACTUAL APPLICABILITY OF WARRANTY TERMS

These Warranty Terms shall form part of all quotations, sales orders, invoices, and contracts issued by Voltnation Electrical Pte. Ltd.
